Lead companies in the technology sector always have their eyes and ears on the proverbial pulse of time. When groundbreaking technologies are presented at trade fairs and events, you can be sure to meet expert representatives of renowned companies and associations. Continental sets the pace in the mobility industry and is naturally always interested in innovations in areas such as e-mobility, (partially) autonomous robotics and digital machine-to-machine networking.
At Innovation Day 2021, we therefore got into conversation with representatives of Continental AG from Hanover and quickly found common intersections. The presentation of our thematically appropriate, innovative & smart service portfolio attracted a lot of attention and led to further system presentations.
Security Robotics goes ahead:
local…national…continental
In March 22 we visited Regensburg, then in May the Continental branch in Hanover Stöcken. At both locations we acted according to the motto: “Seeing once is better than hearing a hundred times”, demonstrated hands-on technology to up to 2 dozen employees and close partners of Continental, and discussed potential application scenarios of robot-supported networked safety technology.
The Beehive drone system demonstrated patrol flights along the administrative buildings, while Argus and Spot provided ground support and the security robots acted as an integrated team. Promobot scored with the variety of use-cases and, as always, charmed with its smile.

Continental colleagues with a connection to security-related topics will almost certainly continue to attend the Security Robotics Innovation Days in the future. Further meetings are also planned for the future, directly on the extensive Security Robotics test site, and we are looking forward to them.
