Leading companies in the technology sector always keep their eyes and ears on the proverbial pulse of the times. Whenever groundbreaking technologies are showcased at trade shows and events, you can be sure to meet knowledgeable representatives from renowned companies and associations there. Continental sets the pace in the mobility industry and is, of course, always interested in innovations in areas such as e-mobility, (semi-)autonomous robotics, and digital machine-to-machine connectivity.
At Innovation Day 2021, we therefore struck up a conversation with representatives from Continental AG in Hanover and quickly found common ground. The demonstration of our thematically relevant, innovative, and smart portfolio of solutions attracted a great deal of attention and led to further system presentations.
Security Robotics is leading the way:
—locally…nationwide…across the continent
In March 22, we visited Regensburg, and then in May, the Continental branch in Hannover-Stöcken. At both locations, we operated under the motto, “Seeing once is better than hearing a hundred times,” and therefore demonstrated to up to two dozen employees and close partners from Continental Hands-on technology and a discussion of potential application scenarios for robot-assisted, networked security technology.
‘s BEEHIVE drone system demonstrated patrol flights along the administrative buildings, while ARGUS and SPOT® provided ground support, with the security robots operating as an integrated team. PROMOBOT impressed with its wide range of use cases and, as always, charmed everyone with its smile.

It is highly likely that Continental colleagues involved in security-related topics will continue to participate in Security Robotics’ Innovation Days in the future. Additional meetings are also planned for the future, to be held directly at the expansive Security Robotics test site, and we look forward to them.
